On Thursday, April 11th, 2019 the EED&PN will host its annual Postgraduate and Early Career Symposium at the University of Fribourg. Session topics will include, for example, practice-based research, understanding dramatic context, and a workshop on palaeography and dramatic records. Scholars, researchers, and professionals who have successfully researched, produced, and taught early drama will lead the sessions. The symposium will conclude with an open space session that will allow participants to continue to discuss the day’s topics and the future of the field.

Confirmed speakers:
Sarah Carpenter (University of Edinburgh), Matthew Cheung-Salisbury (University of Oxford), Helen Gittos (University of Oxford), David Griffith (University of Birmingham). There will be a screening of “The South African Mysteries” and a discussion led by director Mark Dornford-May.

Registration is free for postgraduates and early career researchers; a limited number of travel bursaries will be available.

Registration details and a copy of the provisional programme can be found on the Symposium page here.
